Ara Excellence Scholarships for International Students in New Zealand


The Ara Institute of Canterbury is looking for high-achieving learners who want to make a positive impact on society in their future career to apply for its Ara Excellence Scholarships for the scholastic year 2023-2024. 

New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and international who are prospective and current learners intending to enrol either full-time or part-time in any Level 3 and above the programme of study offered by Ara are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The applicants must exhibit all-around ability and academic excellence to be considered. The scholarship award is worth $4,000, but it may vary on full/part-time enrolment.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Domestic and international students must submit a separate admission application form. Scholarship application along with supporting documents must be submitted via mail to scholarships@ara.ac.nz
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

  • Personal statement 
  • Two referees 
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the entry requirements for their chosen programme at the time of commencement of study at Ara. 
  • Language Requirement: The students must meet the English language proficiency requirements of the university. TOEFL, IELTS, and many more test results are accepted at Ara. 

Benefits

Ara Institute of Canterbury will be awarding the selected candidates a scholarship award valued at $4,000 for each full-time student enrolment. However, part-time students may be awarded a proportion of the $4,000 equal to the level of their part-time enrolment.
